Birch December 24 - January 20

A faerie ring glistens in the dawn light.

The enchanted and the wondrous are yours this month. You are beginning a journey of the impossible becoming real. The glistening of the faerie ring is your sign, the dawn light is your beginning. Stride forth.

Rowan January 21 - February 17

Entering the labyrinth with guides.

A month that can bring confusion. The labyrinth represents the path to attainment of knowledge. The confusion comes from the twists and turns. Remember you have guides. Listen, feel and think this month and the way will make sense.

Ash February 18 - March 17

The baying of wolves sounds a warning at night.

As the darkness descends at the end of the day, listen carefully, the wolves are baying, not for your blood, but to prepare you. Something is not quite right. What you thought was real isn't. Check your premises this month.

Alder March 18 - April 14

The High King stays in the house of a commoner.

Opportunity is come upon you. The High King not only represents secular power but a direct link to the goddesses and gods of the Celtic past. Ask your questions carefully and truthfully.

Willow April 15 - May 12

Sowing and reaping allows time for poetry.

The reward for the time spent in work is the time for creativity. This month you are being shown that the two can be one. Complete your tasks and in the process of creation your life will become poetry in action.

Hawthorn May 13 - June 9

Cattle raiders arrive and fall into a trap.

Cattle raiding was akin to a sport for the Irish Celts. Think of this month as a game. Look to whom may wish to raid your cattle and make the appropriate plans, in the spirit of a game.

Oak June 10 - July 7

An enchanted woman made entirely of flowers.

The mystic made physical is month's gift for you. What have you been creating by your thoughts? They are about to manifest. If your thoughts have been negative, now is the time to change them!

Holly July 8 - August 4

A sharp sword cuts deepest.

The sword is your thoughts. Has your thinking become fuzzy? Have you failed to believe the evidence of your own perceptions? Trust them once more, what you are seeing, you are seeing. See and act accordingly.

Hazel August 5 - September 1

The spear of destiny hangs poised in flight.

Time for decisions! Is the course you've chosen for life the direction you want to go? If so, plunge onward, secure in your path. If not, now is the time to change. The course is not yet set.

Bramble September 2 - September 29

Three concentric circles reveal Truth.

As we grow, so our understanding grows. We move from the general to the more concrete. This month, the realisation of Truth will be the end of a particular journey. Absorb that Truth, you have worked for it.

Ivy September 30 - October 27

The nine waves of illusion enchant the onlooker.

All life is illusion, all life is real. Where do you stand in world? Being enchanted by illusion does not, necessarily, imply acting on illusion. This month you have the opportunity to see through the illusions around you.

Reed October 28 - November 24

Letting go and having fun brings greatest rewards

This is NOT the month to follow the rules of society that you have self imposed for the sake of propriety. This IS the month to follow your heart and your soul. Enjoy, for god's sake, ENJOY.

Elder November 25 - December 23

Children dancing in a game of ring around the rosy.

The external reality does not always reflect the deeper Truth. Children playing ring around the rosy are actually commemorating the Black Death. This month, bring childlike wonder to the deeper Truth of your life.
