Celtic Tree Horoscope June 2008

Birch December 24 - January 20

Anger and hatred defeat the enemy.

A difficult month ahead. Anger and hatred are difficult emotions to handle maturely. However, some enemies require us to access these emotions. Remember our greatest battles and "enemies" are within not without. You will learn much about yourself this victorious month.

Rowan January 21 - February 17

Mutton pie and cider welcome a wandering stranger.

Sustenance and comfort are the gifts of this month. Wandering, metaphysically, in the wilderness of life you discover a way to continue, recharged and sustained. Your wandering will continue but you will know you are supported.

Ash February 18 - March 17

Dancing at midnight under a harvest moon.

Inner completion during outer minimum. Dancing is joy in movement. Joy at the inner harvest of wisdom at a time of apparent darkness. The contrast will show, teach and enlighten.

Alder March 18 - April 14

The doors to the other worlds remain closed.

Now is not the time for other worldly jouneyings. Now is the time to get your earthly affairs in order. As you do this, messages for the other worlds will "leak" through to you. This is a month of to get your foundations strong.

Willow April 15 - May 12

A warrior goes mad with battle lust.

A month to be aware of your inner motivations. The "Berserker" has a fine reputation and honourable history. They have turned battles. They have also lost battles. Fore warned is fore armed.

Hawthorn May 13 - June 9

Raiders come from across the sea.

A challenge is coming. Coming to wreak havoc. Find a copy of "The Tower" card from a deck of tarot. Meditate upon this card for it represents the wonderful changes coming. The edifice you have built is about to be removed so that you can see clearly.

Oak June 10 - July 7

Entering the circle of protection I am invisible.

You will move through this month invisible. This has much to recommend it. Spend your time, protected ritually, observing and understanding. Do not play the trickster without good reason. The temptation to do so will be almost too much. Resist.

Holly July 8 - August 4

Lovers under moonlight consummate a friendship.

The blending of god and goddess or self and other under the light of Mother Moon. Friendship is a sacred gift, consummating it is a sign you understand the depth of that sacredness.

Hazel August 5 - September 1

A cat purrs contentedly in front of a well made hearth.

A month off in many ways. Relax as only a cat can. Let the world pass you by for a while and soak up the warmth of hearth fire. Spend most of your spare time at home. Reconnect with its safety, with its wonder.

Bramble September 2 - September 29

Surrounded by enemies I fight for my life.

Now is not the month for passive acceptance. Now is the time to stand up for what you believe. To take a stand fully knowing it will flush out all your enemies. Do not be surprised at where they were lurking. Meet them head on and enjoy the battle. 

Ivy September 30 - October 27

Amid the raucous, I carry wisdom quietly.

All about is the loudness and cavorting of the masses. Do not allow yourself to be drawn into the carnival of existence. Carry your wisdom within and all will be well. The world is not ready for your knowings, it just couldn't handle them. You are ready and you can handle them. So move gently, act kindly and hold your own counsel.

Reed October 28 - November 24

Doing and dying are not that different.

Life and death are but two sides of the same coin. A difficult concept to grasp but this month you will see. This life is but a game of learning, a time of suspended disbelief. AT the moment of transition it is clear. You will grasp this understanding before your final moment.

Elder November 25 - December 23

Openings, openings and then a closing.

Going with the flow doesn't relieve us of our responsibility for our actions. When the flow is apparently flowing for our benefit all seems well. When the flow turns, it can feel like we’ve been let down  by the universe. This month a series of events will bring home to you your personal responsibility in all matters.
